PRECARE

BEFORE YOUR PMU BROWS

Preparing for your appointment is equally as important as your aftercare in ensuring your brows will last and the process goes smoothly! PMU typically takes around 2 full hours to preform, so please ensure you are prepared to be here for the full amount of time!

Before your appointment avoid botox treatments for 3 weeks prior, chemical peels for 60 days prior, Retinols/Retin-A or other antiaging/acne creams or serums containing acids for 7 days prior, working out/sweating heavily the day of the procedure, tanning or having a sun burned face the day of the procedure, alcohol and caffeine for 24 hours prior, and waxing or tinting your brows 3 days prior to your appointment. Stop taking aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen for 48 hours before procedure.

BEFORE YOUR LASHES

Preparing for your lash appointment is very simple! Please arrive with clean lashes (no mascara or makeup on lashes), avoid drinking caffeine before your appointment and expect to be here for around 2 hours for a full set or around an hour for a fill. For any fills please ensure you have a minimum of 40% of lashes remaining. If there is under 40% of lashes remaining this will be a full set.

If you are a new client coming from a different lash artist for a fill the expectations are the same in regards to remaining amount of lashes! Booking a fill coming from a different artist can be booked the same as a regular fill.

BEFORE YOUR LIPS

Preparing for your lip blushing properly ensures the best results and a smooth healing process!

   Here's what you should do:

Stay hydrated- drink plenty of water to keep your lips hydrated from the inside out.

Exfoliate gently- use a soft lip scrub 1-2 days before your appointment to remove dead skin.

Avoid Blood Thinners- Skip alcohol, caffeine, and aspirin 24 hours prior to your session.

No Active Cold Sores- If you're prone to them, take preventative medication as directed.

Moisturize- keep your lips hydrated, but avoid applying makeup the day of your appointment.

Post Care

POSTCARE

BROW PMU AFTERCARE

First 7 days

After receiving your treatment the healing process begins immediately. Clients should allow a full 14 days of healing with the first 7 days being the most important.

30 minutes after, gently cleanse your brows until there are no traces of pigment or lymph on your wipes. This will aid in preventing scabs. After cleansing your brows, apply the phi cream provided to you at your appointment. This process should be repeated 3-5 times during the day. If you download the Phiapp as a customer you can set an alarm that will remind you to do this process on time.

Over the next 6 days cleansing the brows is not needed as there will be no more lymph or traces of pigment. However you must still apply the phi cream 3-5 times each day. If you have extremely oily skin it is recommended to only use the phi cream for the first day and only as needed on the remaining 6 days if you find your brows are beginning to dry out too much.

It is important to avoid any other creams, makeup in the eyebrow region, saunas, facial massages, and exercise that causes excessive perspiration for the first 7 days. For the full 14 days following treatment avoid any direct sun on your brows to prevent fading.

Next 30 days

In the 30 days following treatment it is important to avoid light (laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, botox treatments, and any creams that contain regeneration factors.Aftercare is key in ensuring your brows will last.

When to book your touchup + what to expect:

After your initial treatment, a 4-6 week touchup must be done. The touchup is to perfect and ensure your brows last. It is very important to come on time for your touchup! The touchup is essentially the same process as the initial appointment, where I will go over each individual stroke. I recommend booking your touch up at your initial appointment with me or as soon as you’re able to ensure you get in on time.

AFTER YOUR LASHES

In regards to aftercare, lashes are quite simple to care for. Wash and brush your lashes daily with a lash cleanser (available for purchase at my studio), do not pick, pull, twist or tug at your lashes, avoid water, steam or saunas for at least 24 hours after your appointment, avoid any oil based products on your face , never wear mascara on your lashes and always prebook your fills to ensure you are in on time. Caring for your lashes is the only way to have long lasting retention and avoid any harm to your natural lashes. Remember, these are each individually attached to your natural lashes and any harm you cause to your extensions (ex. pulling or tugging) will affect your natural lash!

AFTER YOUR LIPS

After your lip blushing/neutralization appointment, aftercare is key to ensuring a smooth healing process for the best results. Lip Blushing healing process is only 5 days long!

After your appointment:

The day of your appointment - after your appointment, wipe your lips every hour + after eating to ensure they are always clean to prevent infection

Drink through a straw for the time of healing

Avoid spicy food for the first day

Moisturize! Keep the aftercare balm on your lips constantly! This will ensure the best results and minimize scabbing.

Do not pick at the scabs. This can prematurely remove pigment from your lips and cause uneven fading/discolouration.
